Bridal Showcase Showdown
Had
there been a prize for “Best in Show” at the
January 29, 2006 Washington, D.C. Bridal Showcase, Rock
Paper Scissors would have stolen the day, hands down. Not
only were more than 3,000 brides-to-be gushing over our
booth and eclectic variety of first-rate wedding invitations
and stationery, but our brave crewmembers Abby,
Alissa and Sara
clearly received some jealous glances from fellow booth-holders.
Alright, we have to admit—the odds were set in our
favor from the get-go: Not only are Abby and Alissa two
of our most knowledgeable custom printing gurus around,
but in her other life, Sara is a set designer. (Dirty rotten.
We know, we know.)
We’re so excited to report that our first bridal
showdown was a whopping success—from 11am ‘til
well past 5, our booth was swamped by enthusiastic and excited
brides nearly brawling over the samples of Claudia
Calhoun, Peculiar
Pair Press, Prentiss
Douthit and our own custom
binder (click on “custom
printing” to see for yourself…minus the
brawling…). And all of us back home got a real kick
out of the large number of Virginia, Maryland and Washington,
D.C.-area brides-to-be who already have a connection to
our quaint little town of Charlottesville…besides
visiting Monticello once for a fourth grade field trip,
that is. |
