For the past 60 years local businesses on the Charlottesville Downtown Mall have hauled out tables of sale items for a local event aptly named "Old Fashioned Bargain Days" in which you might as easily find some stray Civil War shopping reenactor wandering the streets as you would that striped Pulp photo album you've been eyeing at 50% off. (Not to mention the fact that restaurants also have specials, there's music, juggling, slashed pricing, in short, it's just plain crazy.)
